Our Story
My name is Happy Gilmore. Ever since I was old enough to skate, I loved hockey... Wasn't really the greatest skater though.
Hold on, wrong story!
I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. From the time I could walk, my grandfather had a golf club in my hand. I was on the course as much as possible, and played competitively all the way through high school. I turned down multiple golf scholarship offers and attended the University of Alabama, where I gave up golf and focused on other things (Man I miss college)! After an undergraduate career far too similar to Chris Farley's role as 'Tommy Boy,' I went to work for my late Father-in-law. He was a retail icon in Alabama, and I learned a lot in my all too short time with him. I later worked in outside sales for an excellent company and absolutely loved my job, my boss, and everyone that worked with me. Then one day my wife gave birth to the coolest little dude on the planet, and he made it so hard for me to leave home every week. I know there are so many dads that make the same sacrifices every day and I commend you, but I had to find something that would keep me around him as much as possible. I started racking my mind on what I could do that would provide financially for my family and still love what I was doing. After months of driving my wife and friends insane with different business ideas, it finally hit me! I was on vacation at Pebble Beach with my grandfather (who started me in golf), looking at the amount these people were spending on this game that we all love and it just clicked! I have always been a gear junkie, one of those guys that has to have the "latest & greatest" of everything. I am truly obsessed and constantly research new golf and outdoor clothing, equipment, and accessories. There are so many new products hitting the market every week, but it is so difficult for some companies and products to get the exposure they need to end up in your hands or on your back.
This is where Pebblehurst steps into the game! We provide golfers and outdoorsmen with the coolest new products to hit the market; with a strong focus on small batch, american owned, and even some handmade equipment, apparel, and accessories.
